Coming from the world of painting, Liza Dieckwisch and Julia Gruner have been exploring the border between art and everyday food in joint projects since 2015. They draw parallels between paint’s properties (such as chromaticity, haptics, consistency, opacity etc.) and various properties of food. The picture here uses a melted pack of Schöller Eishits to look like watercolors. The blurred boundary between the abstract painting and consumer products amplifies its strong message through its presentation on a billboard.
