Polina Moroz’s work “Skies of Mariupol” darkens and condenses the Ukrainian sky into a black impenetrable curtain, where day becomes night and night becomes nightmare. The silhouette of the sun and its emitting light invade this all-absorbing black again and again. The power of this pervasive light is linked to the hope that this warlike storm will clear up and the horrific darkness will completely transform into the blue coloured freedom already indicated in the picture.
