Wherever humans leave behind traces, these are permanent. This is not visible at first sight in Hendrix’ intricate photographic composition. The boundaries between nature and culture are practically ephemeral here. The offered space must first be explored by the beholder before the boundaries set by humans as reference space are opened up. Here, though, the visually almost symbiotic structure is more directed at division, content-wise. Hopefully, the light of this knowledge will not be blown out in the small gas-driven flame of the ignition aid provided.
