One universal human truth is that we structure the space that surrounds us according to certain criteria and record these structures mentally and materially. Forms of material representation correspond to our needs and knowledge about the world. In this work, Ole-Kristian Heyer has recourse to the shape of the Möbius strip. This becomes apparent as a non-orientable, monoplanar object that simultaneously exists in space, and calls on beholders to place themselves in a perceptual-aesthetic relation to the work.
