Tamara Eckhardt’s documentary series “The Children of Carrowbrowne” gives an insight into the daily life of children from Irish nomadic families. Travelers are considered the largest ethnic minority in Ireland. Because of their culture and nomadic lifestyle, they are victims of discrimination and often come into conflict with a large part of the Irish population. Eckhardt’s photographs create a unique feeling because in the center of her work, she portrays a human being’s dignity as untouchable.
